From Lisbon airport to Coimbra - By train:

 

To take the train to Coimbra you need to get to "Gare do Oriente" Station. You can do that by either taxi or metro:

  • Take a taxi (about 10 minutes and should cost 5-8 euros).
  • Take the subway to Oriente station. Use the red line for a direct route.

Trains to Coimbra run hourly and the journey will take about 2 hours.

From Lisbon airport to Coimbra - By Bus:

 

You will need to take a taxi to the Sete Rios Express Terminal.

The journey will take approximately 10 minutes.

The expresses to Coimbra leave every hour and the trip will take about 2 and a half hours.

From Oporto airport to Coimbra - By train:

 

You will need to travel from Oporto airport to Gare da Campanhã (Porto's main train station).

You can take this trip by taxi or metro, both available at the airport, which will take about 30 minutes.

There are several trains daily to Coimbra. The trip will take about 1h30 minutes.

From Oporto airport to Coimbra - By Bus:

 

You will need to travel by metro (line E) to the "24 de Agosto" stop (30 minutes).

From here, walk to the Bus Terminal, Campo 24 de Agosto, nº 125 (2 minutes).

São Francisco Convent

 

The ISSRE 2020 conference will be held at the São Francisco Convent which is a fusion between the old and modern architecture and is an emblematic building of Coimbra landscape. Founded in the early sixteenth century, throughout its history it served as hospital and barracks, and housed an important textile manufacturing unit. Acquired by the Coimbra Municipal Council, the building was recovered and assumes its new vocation as a Cultural Center and Congress Center of Coimbra.
